My husband and I made Troy our home when were expectant parents. We wanted to live in a safe community where neighbors know each other’s names and share each other’s values. Now, 15 years later, as an attorney, small business owner, parent, and long-standing supporter of my community, I am uniquely qualified to be your City Council Member.
Every day, I work with people that have different goals, views and agendas. My job is to identify and solve problems to help people, which I do by reaching across differences and finding solutions. I am a member of the Oakland County Bar Association, on the board of the Women Lawyers of Michigan Foundation, and a past President of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. In 2008, I was appointed to the Women’s Commission for Oakland County and I've been on the board of her homeowners association for over 10 years.
These various positions have given me the organizational experience that I will bring to the City of Troy, and demonstrates that I have a record of service to her profession and community. I know how to lead and am not afraid to stand up for what’s right. I hope to earn your vote on Nov. 5.
